Nneka Egbuna hails from the oil-rich Nigerian city of Warri where the extremes of wealth and poverty live side-by-side. The ensuing tensions and contrasts are reflected in her music and her first CD Victim of Truth. A soaring voice, biting lyrics and disarming honesty characterise the diminutive singer. Since 2000, Nneka shares her time between Warri and the German city of Hamburg. In 2008 she released her second international album No Longer at Ease.
